From the South: Take Autobahn A 23 toward Heide. Exit Hanerau-Hademarschen/Besdorf, turn right and stay on this road. A landmark to watch out for is the Hademarschen traffic-light. Cross the intersection (do not turn) and continue straight ahead for 6 km to Oldenbüttel. Sternschnuppe is on the left, but continue to follow the road around a left curve. You'll see the driveway on the left.

The closest railway station is Hanerau-Hademarschen. Distance: 6 km. Taxi cost: approximately 10 Euro.
You have quite alot of choices! No matter if you start from Kiel or Brunsbüttel - its 50 km along the Kiel Canal. Schleswig-Holstein offers a wide variety of nice bike trails and sidewalks.
Or, you can go by public transportation to Itzehoe. Then it's a 45 min. ride from Hamburg. Take one of the nice sidewalks!
Sure, you can get to Sternschnuppe via Kiel Canal. Oldenbüttel appoximates the middle. Captains will find a rest. Check out the Giselau-Canal.
The closest airport is Hamburg. Lübeck is also possible, but you'll need to take a shuttle bus toward Hamburg. (If, you don´t rent car, that is.)
